Soccer Star

K. started her first team sport—soccer—last weekend.  I don’t have huge hopes that she’ll be a professional soccer player (though she did cry every time she fell down), but I wanted her to have the experience of listening to a coach and learning something new and athletic.  This was their second practice.  I didn’t take many pictures last week because it took some parental involvement to get her out on the field.  This week, though, she did much better and had a better idea of what was going on.  Regardless of her skill level, she sure looked cute out there!DSC_0153.

Rehydrating.  She’s got her game face on.DSC_0160.

With her friend, A, who hung out with her for a little while.DSC_0162.

Glad to know I wasn't the only mom who sent their daughter to soccer with a hairbow. Josh thinks Hannah needs to leave the hairbow at home because it caused her to get tangled in the goal net. I think that is the price we pay for cuteness - the bow matches her team shirt PERFECTLY and she SHALL wear it, says I! Anyway, I'm glad to have ammo now to bolster my argument "But J lets K wear a hairbow to soccer" etc. :)
