Pretty Princesses

The last week of the girls’ ballet class was princess week, and the girls got to dress up.  Here they are with their wonderful teacher:

And this was taken on a different day, but it’s the same outfit so I threw it in here.  K. is very into dressing up these days—she’ll wake up most mornings and put on some type of princess dress.  So pretty!

The girls were not particularly cooperative—you can see in the first picture that K. offers her hand and N. looks dubious—but I wanted to take a picture of the girls in their cute matching dresses from Auntie D.  Thanks, Auntie!

Happy Fourth Birthday K!

K. turned four—I can’t believe how grown-up she’s getting.  We had a party with her friends, and she had a good time.  She’s getting to be an age where she really likes having people around—she wakes up in the morning and asks who is coming over to play and are we going over to a friend’s house.

Auto Play

Note, please, that sweet N. is not only having a grand time playing with her Matchbox cars, but she is doing it whilst wearing a dress and high-heeled shoes.

And if you look closely, you can see that she’s making a car noise with her lips:

Splashin’ Good Time

Since it’s been so hot around here recently, we cooled off by playing in the water while visiting Grandma and Grandpa.  The girls are finally starting to become less cautious of sprinklers and had a great time.  The girls started by helping Grandma water her flowers.

And then played with the hose-as-sprinkler.

Playing at the Grandparents’

After spending a few days at Grandma and Grandpa A’s house, we journeyed to visit Grandma and Grandpa L.  Since N. keeps a fairly demanding nap schedule, we didn’t venture out a lot but got in a lot of playing.

N. discovered a pull toy from my childhood, and spent several days pulling it around.  She was in love!

She also spent a good portion of her mornings talking on the phone.  While doing other things.

First Fourth Birthday

We celebrated K’s upcoming birthday while spending the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa A.  She was quite excited about the cake (ice cream cake!) and presents.N. must have been bored by the partying, and she amused herself by playing with a pair of tongs.
