Treats Galore
I took the girls trick or treating on Sunday evening, and they actually had a good time! Our wonderful neighbors were kind enough to let us tag along with them, and I think K. had a much better time having them with her. She was able to figure out what to do and had fun running along with them, as opposed to just having Mom shadow behind her. I still stood in the driveways and shouted, “be sure to say ‘thank you!’”She had such a good time with her friends. N. was stuck in the stroller and had fun, but was literally straining to try to get out and run with the big kids. She wanted to much to follow them.
It was funny as K. first saw kids in full costumes (those involving face masks). She just stared. Some of the costumes were pretty creepy, but she soldiered through it…and much better than I thought she would. I guess nothing would stand between her and candy.
Checking out the loot with Dad. We didn’t have N. fill a bag, but she looked on with interest as K. dumped hers out.
And she grabbed a lollypop…but didn’t unwrap it, so her sugar consumption was minimal.
Oh, the girls were so tuckered out after an evening of fun!

Sweet Sunday
After a fun morning at church, the weather was warm enough to spend a little time in the back yard. So we did.
“Ooh, are there buttons on your jumper? Cuuuute!”
The requisite “sweet photos of N.”And as much as the girls are sweet and happy all of the time in the pictures I select for the blog, here’s a little glimpse into something I see more often than not:
Yup. They’re crying in unison. At least they do some things together as sisters.
Boiler Cutie
Because we did it to her sister also, we dressed N. up in some college-themed clothing. If for some reason she ends up going to the school noted, these pictures will be cute. If she ends up going to a rival school, the pictures will be even funnier. Who knows what colleges the girls will end up going to (translation: they’ll go to wherever is the least expensive for us), but these pictures are cute regardless.
Such a sweet face! But noted that gold looks even worse on her than it does her sister, so we’ll definitely need to keep college shopping.
And the sisters hung out a bit. I couldn’t get N. to prop herself up on her elbows (maybe in a year or two)—and every time she’s in that position she starts crawling.

Let’s Go Fly A Kite
K. and Dad took advantage of the lovely weather this past week and Dad showed K. how to fly a kite. She got one for her birthday, but every time I thought to use it, the wind was still. It was a fun Daddy-daughter activity as Dad has a good understanding of where a kite needs to be to fly and how to get it off the ground.

More Auntie Antics
K. was playing with Aunt J. and Grandma at the gazebo in the back yard. Since it has a door K. can easily open and close, she had a great time pretending it was her house. We would knock, she would invite us in, and then she’d ask us to leave again.
“Come on in!” “Go out.”
And once there was a moment that she let all of us inside her house, we attempted more group photos. With limited success.
