As I write this, it is raining outside. I do hope we have some more snow this season, or at least that the ground freezes (to reduce the wetness of the dogs that enter my house). On Sunday after Church, though, B. decided to work on the driveway—otherwise it would rain on our snow, then re-freeze, and we’d be stuck with boulders of ice in the driveway. P.S. I’ve found that the down side to a nice southern exposure for the back of your house is that the sun never shines on your driveway and never melts the snow for you.
“You mean we have to do this whole thing, Daddy?”
“Okay. I’ll get started.” “Daddy, you have to help too.”
And when she was done with her shoveling, she played in the snow—and chased Mom with snowballs (at Dad’s suggestion).
