Peaceful Animals on Halloween

Although the expression “fighting like cats and dogs” is a fairly popular one, the girls were well-behaved for Halloween—despite their alter egos.DSC_1673DSC_1674DSC_1677

Originally N. wanted to be a cat (me: “What do you want to be for Halloween?” N: “A meow.”) and K. wanted to be an angel.  I decided to not try to be persuasive and just let them be.  I’m in favor of coordinating costumes, and am not overly wary of Halloween itself, but (perfect as it may seem sometimes) I couldn’t pair N. as the devil against K’s angel.  So I sought a cat costume.

The one I ordered was much too large for N.  Nothing I couldn’t potentially alter, but a task.  K. tried it on (for fun) and it fit her and then I remembered: I had a hand-me-down pink poodle costume that might fit N.  I ran upstairs, brought it back, and behold!  It was the right size.  And it saved me from fixing the cat costume and making an angel costume.DSC_1688DSC_1703DSC_1713 - CopyDSC_1715DSC_1725
