Little Girls on the Prairie

We went to a local “Living History Museum” with some of our good friends, and there was so much for the girls to do!  We went to a barn with a bunch of baby animals (and Mom was in heaven) and the girls got to ride pretend horses.DSC_9780.As you can see by K’s reluctance to pet the baby miniature horse, petting a real animal would probably have been out of the question.  She would not touch the sweet, fuzzy baby.DSC_9783.DSC_9791.

Besides all of the neat interactive things, it was even fun for the girls to just be able to spend some time outside.  In the next picture, notice the small pile of rocks between the girls.  They played with those for a long time.DSC_9806.DSC_9815.

We saw the tethered hot air balloon that gives rides regularly.  It was so beautiful there, and just nice for the girls to have a big open place to run.DSC_9850.DSC_9861.

The younger girls got tuckered out after lunch.DSC_9868.
